Patti was born and raised in New Jersey, but
lived in California and Colorado before moving
to North Carolina in 2003. She has over 20 years
experience in the hotel industry. After
receiving her culinary training, Patti opened Lemongrass, a catering and event planning
business specializing in weddings and parties.
She enjoys cooking, entertaining, decorating,
hiking, drawing, and calligraphy. She could spend all
day in an antique shop, reads cookbooks like
most people read novels and loves spending time
with her two beautiful granddaughters! |

Michael (most people call him Bear) was born
in New Jersey, but raised in Colorado. He is
a General Contractor and was a chef for Lemongrass. His expertise in building was
used extensively in the renovation and
remodeling of the inn. Bear enjoys
cooking, entertaining, hiking in the
mountains, and just about anything you do
outdoors. He enjoys spending time with their
two labs, Charlie and Bailey, and can’t get
enough of his two wonderful granddaughters! |

Have you
noticed how beautiful the gardens, trails and grounds look at the Crooked Oak
Mountain Inn? Well, there is one reason for that beauty . . . Ron Mitchell! Ron has been manicuring the property for a
couple of years and he does a great job. Originally born in Selma, AL, he joined the Army as a young man and is now
a retired veteran.
To our good
fortune, he ended up in Asheville and met Bear on a local construction
site. The friendship began and Ron began making his mark on our property with his natural ability working with plants,
flowers and rock gardens. He loves
visiting with our guests and has some very interesting stories. Take a moment to chat with him during your next
visit . . . We are very thankful to have Ron as part of the Crooked Oak Mountain
Inn family!
