The Innkeepers

Patti was born and raised in New Jersey, but lived in California and Colorado before moving to North Carolina in 2003. She has over 20 years experience in the hotel industry. After receiving her culinary training, Patti opened Lemongrass, a catering and event planning business specializing in weddings and parties. She enjoys cooking, entertaining, decorating, drawing, and calligraphy. She could spend all day in an antique shop, reads cookbooks like most people read novels and loves spending time with her two beautiful granddaughters!

Michael (most people call him Bear) was born in New Jersey, but raised in Colorado. He is a General Contractor and was a chef for Lemongrass. His expertise in building was used extensively in the renovation and remodeling of the inn. Bear enjoys cooking, entertaining, hiking in the mountains, and just about anything you do outdoors. He enjoys spending time with their chocolate lab Charlie and can’t get enough of his two wonderful granddaughters!
Patti Perry Strelec
Bear and Patti have been married for 30 years and have one daughter, Christine. They both really enjoy meeting new people, working together, living in North Carolina, and feel very blessed to have the opportunity to share their beautiful mountain setting with new and old friends.
